It is usually recommended to clean your toaster over the sink or garbage to prevent making another mess.

For toasters that have a crumb tray, simply take it out of the toaster and shake out all of the crumbs. If all of the crumbs do not shake out, wipe down the tray with a wet cloth. Dry it well before replacing the tray.

If your toaster doesn’t have a crumb tray, simply turn it upside down and shake it.

Use your small scrubbing brush to clean out any of the corners or nooks with residue.

To clean the outside, simply wipe it down with a wet cloth and some gentle soap. Don’t forget to clean the knobs and controls.
