Accommodating Things in the Fridge

Accommodating things in a refrigerator has a purpose: storing food in the refrigerator can make the difference for how long foods last. Knowing how to accommodate the refrigerator may sound like something irrelevant. However, the goal is to have a great benefit: that food is preserved more and better for the sake of your health. As in everything, there is a formula to make this task simpler and more effective. The main purpose of using the refrigerator or freezer is to ensure the safety of the products as well as maintain their taste, smell, texture and nutritional properties for as long as possible.

1) Vegetables and fruits

In the drawers, up to the bottom of the refrigerator, you will have to accommodate the vegetables and fruits, as it is characterized by being the wettest area. Therefore, you can be sure that your kale, spinach, carrots, and apples will last longer and be fresh and crispy.

 2) Dairy products

Milk, yogurt, cream, and cottage cheese should be stored on the shelf up to the bottom because that way, they will last much longer. Arrange them by expiration date.

 3) Orange and fruit juices

When you buy juice in a box, it is usually pasteurized and you can store them in the refrigerator door. If it is fresh juice, do not forget to keep it on the last shelf at the bottom.

 4) Eggs

There are divided opinions on the storage of eggs. While some chefs say it is not necessary to keep them in refrigeration, others say the middle shelf is perfect.

 5) Raw meat

The meat should also be on the bottom shelf. This prevents cross-contamination and also any runoff on any other item.
