The washing machine fills up and the water immediately leaks. What should I do?
What is the cause when the drum leaks at the same time that it fills, and the height of the drain is correct?
Two possible causes: one is that the level sensor is detecting an over-level and activates the pump, and the other is that the pump is activated without actually starting the filling cycle.
Water Leaks
Leaks, spills or water leaks underneath the washing machine are usually caused by damage or poor connection of the water inlet hose. If the leak is in the area of the drain filter, it may be very dirty. Sometimes, depending on the amount of fabric softener or detergent that is used, a leak through the rear vent can also occur.
It is recommended to level the washer and reinstall the drain hose.
- If the washing machine is not level with the floor, vibrations may occur or the machine breaks down. Then, make sure to level the washer properly.
- Open the lid of the machine, pour water into the drum until it reaches just below the button and adjust the legs so that the button is located in the center of the water.
- Place the machine at a minimum distance of 10 cm from the wall.
- Adjust the legs to level the machine.
