Advantages of Smoothies in a Blender
Smoothie Benefits
Natural juices and shakes prepared at home are an excellent option to incorporate vitamins and other properties in our diet, although we should never exclude fresh fruit from our meals. Now, in summer, it seems like a good idea to get our blender out of the pantry and prepare ourselves a smoothie with different varieties of fruit taking advantage that summer is abundant in it.
If you are the kind of person that doesn’t eat the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables, making a fruit smoothie is an easy way to increase your consumption because these drinks often contain multiple servings of fruit, and sometimes vegetables as well.
There are smoothies with a thicker texture because we use the pulp of the fruit. These are prepared with a bowl mixer, which – thanks to its powerful blades – minces all vegetables and fruits evenly to get a dense drink, mixing all the ingredients that have been added.
Instead, when preparing a juice, it is done with the blender or with a juicer and it is citrus. The blender separates the juice of the fruit from the pulp.Unlike fruit juice, smoothies also provide fiber, because they contain folate and vitamin C. Whether a smoothie is good for you depends on the ingredients it contains and the portion.
Nutritious Ingredients
Add vegetables, such as carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, greens, or beets to increase the nutrients in your smoothie without adding many calories.
