Which soap is more efficient and economical?
When the task of washing clothes is yours, it is time not only to look for the best detergent but also to see how we can save money at the same time.
Powder soap dissolves better in hot water, but it can cause a residue to remain on the clothes at the end of washing, especially if cold water is used. Liquid soap dissolves completely in any wash setting at any temperature.
However, powder detergent is usually more economical and effective against heavy stains such as mud. The problem is that you need a temperature higher than 30°F, so getting a perfect wash requires a higher energy consumption and as we know that also increases our electric bill.
Liquid detergent dissolves better in water, even at low temperatures, penetrates better in clothes and is recommended for high-efficiency washers, which consumes little water and energy. In case of very resistant stains, it is better to apply some drops directly on the garment before starting the washing cycle.
Four more arguments in favor of liquid detergent:
– The containers are smaller, more comfortable to transport and dose.
– It is less abrasive with clothes, perfect for delicate and colored garments, and better on the skin, especially for those people with sensitive skin, babies, etc.
– It is more effective with grease stains because it dissolves better and penetrates more smoothly between the fibers.
– Compared with powder detergent it is better for the environment, although it continues to pollute our rivers, so we recommend that you always use an ecological detergent.
Relying on the facts, everything points to liquid soap being more effective and economical.
