Dryers: Condensation or Evacuation, an indispensable appliance

The clothes dryer is an essential device in our homes, especially in the winter season when, due to weather conditions, we can not dry clothes naturally.

There are many models and options of dryers in the market, with choices between different capacities, technology, and prices.

Two common models of dryers

Basically what a dryer does is vacuum the air, heat it, and project it inside the drum to get the clothes dry. This action generates moisture that is extracted directly from the clothes when drying. Depending on the way in which that moisture evaporates, it will be a type of dryer or another.

Evacuation Vs. Condensation Types of dryers

The evacuation dryer moves moisture outside by a tube, while the condensation dryer collects the generated water vapor and stores it in an internal tank.

The evacuation dryers were the most popular many years ago, but now the new trends are condensation dryers because they have a moisture evacuation system that makes indoor installation more convenient. While the evacuation is a little more uncomfortable to install in places with little space for having the tube that removes moisture outside.

The most modern dryer designs incorporate heat pumps. Its operation is similar to condensation. The heating of the air is done through the condenser of the heat pump, while the cooling is done through an evaporator.

Whatever model and dryer system we choose, it is crucial when doing the drying cycle that there are various size garments so that the clothes are distributed throughout the drum, and drying is uniform. Another way to optimize the drying is to choose the clothes by its fabric and put them together.
