Maintenance of an ice dispenser

The ice dispenser is an item that allows us to have ice instantly at any time, and we realize its usefulness when we have a drink, and we want it cold.

There are several types of ice dispensers; some come integrated into the refrigerator, others integrated into the freezer, and others come alone as the”ice dispenser.”

The difference in making ice is to put water into a container, it freezes, and we have ice. The ice dispenser, however,  produces the ice with water in movement, which consequently removes the air and solids. This results in ice, in a very short time.

The typical problems that the ice dispenser presents are:

• it overflows water and drips around the edges: check the adjustment screw
• if a lever is in poor condition, then repair or replace it
• water does not enter the system; it has a shutoff valve

Once checked and if the problem persists, it is necessary to call a technician.
