Tips to Prevent Clothing from Getting Dyed
How badly do we feel when we open the washing machine and find our favorite garment dyed another color? The good news is that it is easy to avoid this fatal situation.
Follow these tricks:
You just have to know if the clothes you are going to wash dye or not. This is simpler than you think.
- Take some cotton, moisten it with water, and put it in a hidden corner of the clothes.
- Leave it there for at least five minutes.
- If the cotton takes on the color of the garment, you will know that it fades.
- For example, before putting the colored garment into the washing machine, take a piece hidden from it and put some water.
- Pass a handkerchief or any other white cotton cloth over that area and iron it.
- If the color changes, it is better to wash it separately, so it does not dye the rest of your clothes.
- In addition, you should always immerse the garment completely in the water, so the color does not lose its unit.
