The blender accumulates germs and dirt!
Learn how to clean it!
You would be amazed to know the number of germs that can accumulate in the blender. The blender is perhaps one of the appliances that can gather more dirt due to the waste left by the fruits or any food after each shake.
During the process of liquefying, liquids are dispersed throughout the glass, including the lid, accumulating debris in the grooves and corners. Even if the blades look shiny, it’s hard to get under them with a sponge, where food residue remains.
Steps to clean your blender
The solution is simple: you have to disassemble the glass and clean the parts separately
- First, have hot water and soap to wash the dishes
- Next, rub with a clean sponge
- Last, rinse well and dry before reassembling
Other bits of advice
- Atomize the parts with hydrogen peroxide at least once a week.
- Unscrew the base and separate the glass from the metal piece of the blades.
- Remove the rubber ring, clean thoroughly on both sides and leave to soak a few minutes before rinsing.
- If the rubber is deformed, it should be replaced to prevent spills.
- The glass should be washed inside and outside, especially in the part of the thread, as well as the lid, especially those that have holes.
- If it is not possible to unscrew the glass, it can be filled half full with hot water, add a little detergent or baking soda and half a lemon, without removing the skin.
- Turn on the blender for a few seconds and then leave to rest for a few minutes.
- This procedure helps to remove the remains of food on the inside and eliminate odors.
- Last, wash with a sponge and dry thoroughly before storage.
