Advantages and Disadvantages of water heaters
There are several options to have hot water in your home; among these are the instantaneous hot water heater or the hot water tank.
For an apartment or if you have little space in your home, the instantaneous heater is better because it does not require additional space for its installation. Besides, the way it works saves on the electric bill.
These two devices are very different in terms of their operation
A hot water tank is a metal tank, which has a resistance inside. The resistance slowly warms the water. The tank is turned on at dawn, it operates for a few hours, and when you get up in the morning to bathe, you have a hot water reserve ready to use.
Instead, the instantaneous heating is a small device that has a high power resistance inside. When hot water is needed, the resistance heats the water so that a few seconds later you have hot water. There is no waiting several hours to have hot water like with the tank.
Advantages of the Water Heater
1) It occupies very little space; it is attached to a wall or under a sink.
2) It heats the water faster.
3) The heaters consume less electric energy than a tank.
The water tank goes on and off turning on according to the temperature of the water, spending a lot of energy. If the pilot light goes out at night, the water will not be hot the next day.
Disadvantages of the Heater
1) It requires high power electric cables, 8000 W, and the cables are more expensive than the tank.
2) Instantaneous water heaters are more vulnerable to minerals in the water because they have smaller spaces inside where minerals can accumulate more easily.
