Glass-ceramic stove tips
Glass-ceramic cookers, like all our electrical appliances in the kitchen, need proper maintenance for the correct operation and economy of electricity.
Suggestions for maintaining our glass-ceramic stove:
- Before performing the maintenance disconnect it from the electric current
- Inflammable materials should not be used for cleaning
- The parts of stainless steel are the first thing that we must clean when we do periodic cleaning. It is very easy to clean them when done periodically; otherwise, it will be harder to clean.
- It is important to clean when the kitchen is cold. We must remove the grease and cooking residue from the stainless-steel parts with a detergent soap, clean well, and dry.
- If the food residues are too sticky, cloth or sponge should be used. The sponge or cloth should be cleaned after a few passes because the residues may scratch the surface.
- The glass-ceramic part should be cleaned with special glass detergent and a clean cloth. Dry thoroughly with a dry cloth.
- Remember! It is important not to clean the glass ceramic plate when it is hot; it must be cold.
- Clean the hard places or remains of food stuck to the glass-ceramic plate with a razor. Then use a towel and soap to clean the glass area and then dry with a dry cloth.
- If sugar or melted plastic is spilled, remove it immediately because this can damage the ceramic glass plate.
- Aluminum will also damage the glass-ceramic, so avoid using this material when using the stove.
- Another important thing to keep our stove maintained is to use kitchen utensils that are in good condition, and pots and pans with a flat bottom.
- Finally, it is crucial that at least every six months a technician should check the stove and perform preventive maintenance, especially with the filter.
