Tips for barbecuing on the electric grill
We all agree that the best barbecues are those made with firewood or charcoal.
However, not all of us are so lucky to have the necessary space and infrastructure in our homes for this type of grill. But for those who live in small apartments, the electric grill is a good option.
How should we use the electric grill so that our food tastes good?
- Heat the grill to the maximum power for at least 10 – 15 minutes before cooking any type of meat, either red or white.
- For roasting meat on an electric grill, lean cuts are recommended.
- Grilling time depends on the size of the meat, but not less than 40 minutes.
- If you put the meat on the cold grill you will not have a good result.
- Choose cuts of low-fat meat.
- Avoid turning the meat many times. Chefs recommend only two times. One side and then the other.
- Vegetables or eggs are a tasty choice to cook on the electric grill.
- Never use forks or skewers, only pincers since piercing the meat loses liquids making it very dry.
- If you want to cook the meat quickly, then you should choose pieces of 2 cm approximately and check the meat constantly to avoid the meat from drying.
- For sausages, it is recommended to cook them with all their fat.
How to clean the electric grill?
Just pour some hot water and scrub with a sponge.
Useful advice after washing it is to spread a cloth with oil and rub it on the grill. This will help it to maintain its anti-adherence condition.
