Cleaning the fridge efficiently
I like a clean and organized refrigerator. I always try to clean it after grocery shopping because I can put everything away so it looks pretty and it makes more sense.
Many times the freezer gives off unpleasant odors and we do not really know the origin, so we decide to perform a quick thaw and clean the refrigerator completely. This task may not be too pleasant but you can clean the fridge efficiently with a few supplies. It’s a pretty and easy process after all!
You will need:
- Hair dryer
- Rubber shoes and gloves
- Hot water
- Sodium bicarbonate
- Pieces of Burnt Toast
- Cloth
- Cleaning cream
Steps:
1. Before you start cleaning the freezer, turn off the refrigerator and unplug it.
2. Defrosting is a somewhat slow process but you can accelerate using a hairdryer.
3. Once all the ice has been removed, quickly wash the entire interior of the refrigerator with a solution of 1 cup of hot water with 2 tablespoons of baking soda.
4. Proceed by drying everything, and then place several very burnt pieces of toast on the shelves. Toast will neutralize the bad smell surprisingly.
5. To clean the outside of the refrigerator simply use a damp cloth with cleaning cream.
Repeat this operation every week.
Tips:
When you use the dryer try to use rubber gloves and wear shoes because you will be working with water and electricity, which implies taking precautionary measures.
