How to leave the burners of gas stoves bright?
After frying some fish, my gas stove was sprinkled with grease and I couldn’t clean it. What should I do?
We have used the most brilliant ideas from the experts: our mothers and grandmothers. They recommend three tricks that we invite you to try in order to fight against the burnt and dried fat that accumulates on the burners of a gas stove.
Trick 1: Enclosed ammonia
Materials:
A ZIP bag and three tablespoons of ammonia.
What to do:
Just leave the dirty burners inside the bag with ammonia and close (the zip bag helps, although you can use a normal bag and close it thoroughly). After closing, move it to distribute the chemical compound well. Leave them at least 12 hours inside. When closing it tight, the vapors of ammonia will do their job efficiently with dirt. Finally, open in a well-ventilated place – taking care not to breathe these vapors, because they are toxic – and wash the burners by hand with water or your dishwasher. You will notice how the dirt comes off easily.
Trick 2: Vinegar & Bicarbonate
Materials:
A container with very hot water and lemon juice or white vinegar, and a couple of tablespoons of baking soda.
What to do:
Insert the burners into the container and let them soak for at least an hour. Then dry them and cover them with bicarbonate, then scratch them with an aluminum sponge. If they are not perfect, repeat the operation again soaking them in hot water and vinegar. No dirt will resist a second round! Variant: let the burners “cook” in boiling water with the vinegar for 15 minutes to improve the process.
