It is important to clean the coffee maker
Usually, we clean the coffee makers from the outside and forget to clean the inside of the machine, but it is necessary to clean it as coffee residue accumulates over time, affecting in some way the taste of the coffee. Coffee makers are machines that make coffee repeatedly, forcing hot water through ground coffee. Occasionally the interior of the coffee can develop a brown buildup and burn. This results in a bitter or burnt taste to your coffee.
Below are some ways to clean the inside of the coffee maker:
1) Fill the percolator halfway with vinegar. Add enough cold water to bring it to the highest level. Put the stem and the empty basket inside the coffee maker. Put on the cover and connect it. Run the percolator for a complete cycle. Leave the vinegar solution hot for 20 minutes.
2) Fill the coffee machine halfway with hot water, add some dishwashing detergent, a small amount, use a cloth to clean the inside with soap and water, then rinse with plenty of water to remove the soap. Dry well to prevent the appearance of fungi or mold.
The following steps are for interior cleaning discoloration:
1) Introduce cold water to the level that marks 2 cups.
2) Place the stem and the basket inside the coffee maker. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of tartar cream and add to the basket. Put the lid on top and connect it. Allow the percolator to run through a filtration cycle. Let stand 20 minutes.
3) Disconnect and drain the water, let it cool completely.
