How to store Christmas leftovers
After your Christmas dinner, if your fridge is full of containers, it is important that you consider making the most of these resources by packing them and storing them properly, so that we can prevent their accelerated deterioration and dispose of them when needed.
Divide the meat:
When it comes to meat, chicken or pork, the best thing we can do to extend their life and reuse what was left of the Christmas dinner, is to store in small plastic containers (free of BPA) or glass with an airtight lid, separated from bones and sauces to guarantee its freshness.
Ideally, this should be done within 2 hours after the dinner is over, to prevent the meat from being exposed to the surrounding bacteria and contaminating and deteriorating.
Freeze quickly and enjoy later:
I love being able to enjoy the leftovers a few days later and not just the next day, especially because I need to let my body balance if I committed any excess. If you agree with me, I recommend freezing some pieces very carefully to eat a few days or even weeks later. The first thing to keep in mind is that not all containers are suitable for freezing, so check before using the first one you get in the kitchen. The secret to freezing food in the most efficient way, guaranteeing all its nutritional value and minimizing the risk of possible deterioration, is to do it quickly.
Use the best containers:
You must store all leftovers in sealable, small and shallow containers because this will help them to cool faster.
