Gas or electric stove? Difficult decision
Gas and electric stoves have their advantages and disadvantages
1) OPERATION
Both stoves have 2 to 4 burners of various sizes to cook. They also have an oven, which can be together with the stovetop or separate.
- Gas stoves use injectors that transmit the fuel (which is the gas) to each of the burners. The gas is released through a knob and ignites a flame, and this produces heat for cooking.
- Electric stoves have a resistor that converts electricity into heat. There are resistors in each burner and the oven.

2) COSTS
- Gas stoves are generally cheaper, those of stainless steel are more expensive than those tiled. If it is necessary to lay a floor for its installation, it becomes more costly, but over time the investment is amortized.
- Electric stoves are more costly, but the installing process is straightforward.

- Gas stoves heat instantaneously
- Gas transmits heat more evenly
- When using burners to boil any liquids, you must be careful, because if the liquid spills, it can turn off the burner
- Preheating the oven is faster
- Food-flavor is more natural in gas
- Baked goods and pizzas come out better in gas stoves
Electric Stoves
- Burners are safer to use but remain hotter for longer after turning off
- Electric ovens transmit heat in a more controlled way because they have a convertor
- Oven takes a long time to preheat
- Not easy to handle the stove like that of the gas when it reaches the desired temperature
- Due to the type of connection and fuel, electricity is safer than gas
- Meats and potatoes come out better in electric stoves
- Electric stoves are easier to clean than gas
